Imagery in the Ladders series represents stairways, the ladders reaching up to the future and down to the roots of the past. They lead to emotional environments that offer an opportunity for safety or solace. An escape, sometimes reminding us of places we left behind in a search for our home. They make an ecofictional landscape, and my photos evoke a visual reality into the painted picture plane.
